The Humanist Forum... A Global Space for Dialogue
The idea of the Global Humanist Forum emerged in 1993 in Moscow. It represents an open space for dialogue among thinkers, researchers, civil society representatives, and institutions from different cultures, with the aim of exchanging experiences and ideas and finding human-centered solutions to shared challenges.
Since then, the Forum's experience has expanded across different continents, becoming an international platform for promoting a culture of peace and nonviolence, encouraging dialogue among civilizations, and launching joint initiatives aimed at building a global human family based on justice, dignity, and cooperation.
The Humanist Forum in Morocco was launched in 2008
under the supervision of the Humanist Embassy Authority, becoming a regular gathering that brings together civil society actors, academics, intellectuals, young people, and national and international institutions around issues related to humanity, peace, and development.

The Eighth Humanist Forum
Vision and Context
Today, the world is experiencing a pivotal period marked by profound transformations affecting every aspect of life, amid an unprecedented acceleration of scientific and technological progress. At the same time, challenges related to wars and conflicts, climate change, widening social and economic inequalities, forced migration, declining trust in institutions, as well as emerging issues arising from the rapid development of artificial intelligence and digitalization, are becoming increasingly significant.
Despite the enormous scientific and technological achievements made by humanity, these advances have not sufficiently improved the lives of millions of people who continue to suffer from poverty, marginalization, and violence. Environmental challenges are also threatening the future of coming generations, while digital transformations raise profound ethical questions about the relationship between humans and technology, the limits of its use, and its role in serving human development.
Amid these transformations, there is an urgent need to restore the central role of human values as the guiding framework for public policies, scientific innovation, international relations, and economic development. The future cannot be built through technology alone, nor through economic growth by itself, but rather by developing conscious, free, and responsible human beings capable of using knowledge to serve peace, justice, and solidarity.
Based on this conviction, the organization of the Eighth Humanist Forum represents an international space for dialogue and collective reflection, bringing together actors from different fields to discuss shared challenges, exchange experiences, and develop practical initiatives that promote a culture of peace and nonviolence and support sustainable human development.
