The Humanist Embassy was founded on April 30, 2008 as an independent humanist organization belonging to a school of diplomatic thought that places human freedom at the center of its action and opposes all forms of violence.

Our Mission

To promote humanist values through personal and social transformation, based on a philosophy that affirms that every lasting transformation of the world begins with the transformation of the human being themselves. The Humanist Embassy considers personal and social change to be essential drivers of the positive development of societies.

Peace, Nuclear Disarmament and Conflict Resolution

The promotion of peace, nuclear disarmament, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts constitute the fundamental message and strategic priority of the Humanist Embassy.

Our Priorities

Building peace: promoting dialogue, mutual understanding, international cooperation, and the peaceful resolution of disputes between peoples and States.

Working toward nuclear disarmament: supporting international initiatives aimed at reducing and eliminating nuclear weapons in order to strengthen global security and protect future generations.

We are a group of women and men who have chosen to move forward together along the same path, driven by the desire to know one another, complement each other, and cooperate. We carry forward the heritage of different humanist cultures while building a link between the past, the present, and the future.

June 2008 – Signed the petition submitted to the United Nations calling for the establishment of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence.
2 October 2008 – Celebrated the first International Day of Nonviolence.
December 2008 – Organized the First Humanist Forum under the theme "The Power of Diversity".
November 2009 – Organized the Second Humanist Forum under the theme "The Power of Peace".
November 2009 – Participated in and welcomed the First World March for Peace in Morocco.
November 2010 – Organized the Third Humanist Forum under the theme "The Power of Development".
December 2011 – Organized the Fourth Humanist Forum under the theme "The Power of Nonviolence".
November 2017 – Organized the Fifth Humanist Forum under the theme "The Humanist Principle".
October 2019 – Organized the Sixth Humanist Forum under the theme "The Power of Change".
November 2019 – Organized and welcomed the Second World March for Peace in Morocco.
